Biographical Sketch

Dr. Tanushree Mitra Basu is presently working as an Assistant Professor at the department of Applied Mathematics in the Centre for Distance and Online Education (C.D.O.E) , Vidyasagar University. Earlier, she was associated with Midnapore City College as an Assistant Professor. She has done her graduation, post graduation and B.Ed from Visva-Bharati University in the year 2003, 2005 and 2006 respectively. She has completed her Ph. D from Vidyasagar University in the year 2013. She has numerous publications in various renounced journals. She has a special interest on Fuzzy Mathematics, Soft Set Theory, Neutrosophic Theory and presently working on these fields. She is working on various aspects of algebra, analysis, probability, statistics, stochastic process, operation research etc. in the ground of uncertainty and their implementations in solving real life decision making problems under different environments (such as fuzzy, intuitionistic fuzzy, interval-valued fuzzy, n-polygonal fuzzy, generalized n-polygonal fuzzy, linguistic-valued, neutrosophic etc.).

Academic Interest

Dr. Tanushree Mitra Basu is an academician and researcher in the field of Applied Mathematics, with a strong interest in interdisciplinary research. Her academic work reflects a deep commitment to both theoretical foundations and real-world applications of mathematics. She is especially interested in Fuzzy Set Theory, Soft Set Theory as well as Neutrosophic Theory and presently working on these fields. She is working on various aspects of algebra, analysis, probability, statistics, stochastic process, operation research etc. in the ground of uncertainty and their implementations in solving real life decision making problems under different environments (such as fuzzy, intuitionistic fuzzy, interval-valued fuzzy, n-polygonal fuzzy, generalized n-polygonal fuzzy, linguistic-valued, neutrosophic etc.).
